Established in 1996, NZ Landcare Trust is an independent charitable organisation dedicated to promoting sustainable land and water management across New Zealand.
We are one of the few national, non-government organisations working directly with land users – farmers, iwi, lifestylers, landowners, and community groups – to support practical, community-led environmental solutions.
A Collaborative Approach
We bring together a diverse range of interest groups to work towards a common goal: healthy land, thriving waterways, and resilient communities.
Our Board comprises eight trustees organisations, including representatives from Federated Farmers of New Zealand; Federated Mountain Clubs; Federation of Māori Authorities; Fish and Game New Zealand; Ecologic Foundation, Rural Women New Zealand; Farm Forestry Association; and Forest and Bird.
