Our Mission
In the Nelson/Tasman region alone, over the past four years, 300 landowners have received more than 500,000 free or subsidised trees. Recently, NZ Landcare Trust (NZLT) has partnered with Eat My Carbon (EMC) to enhance the logistical feasibility of these initiatives. It is crucial that most funding is directly allocated to the procurement and care of trees, rather than to managing their distribution.
Our efforts have been generously supported by our sponsors, One Tree Planted and Kuene Hair Cosmetics. Their contributions have played a pivotal role in advancing our mission of reforestation and sustainable land management.
NZ Landcare Trust and Eat My Carbon are united in their commitment to promoting environmental sustainability through innovative planting management systems. Eat My Carbon was developed in New Zealand and since then has grown to be implemented globally. The NZLT and EMC collaboration will empower landholders, community planting organisations, supporters, volunteers, and donors to establish trees and forests. Together, we aim to significantly reduce CO2 levels and foster a greener future for everyone.
