The most significant news for community groups is the availability of new financial support for environmental restoration:
Westpac Waterway Projects Grant: There is currently $60,000 in grants now open specifically for community-led waterway projects. This funding is designed to help local groups move from planning to practical action on the ground.
- Fonterra Restoring Wetlands Grant: Offering grants of up to $60,000 opens 1 May.
