Landcare.

Landcare is about managing our land in a sustainable manner to ensure ecological, economic and social benefits for present and future generations.

It is about keeping ownership of land management issues within the community, building community capacity and encouraging shared solutions.

Landcare raises awareness, builds relationships and trust, fosters action and helps communities to actively participate in sustainable land management activities.

This is Landcare at work and NZ Landcare Trust is responsible for delivering this essential service in New Zealand.

Landcare engages the community and builds interest in sustainable development.  It encourages group processes that inspire collective action.

Landcare fosters a connection between private land managers and public benefit.  With the leadership of NZ Landcare Trust, Landcare will be a key tool for managing our nation’s land and water resources.
